Day 1, HONG KONG: Arrival day.

Day 2, HONG KONG - GUILIN: We transfer to the most suitable airport for our flight to Guilin. On arrival perhaps take a stroll along the riverfront. (BD)

Day 3, LI RIVER CRUISE - YANGSHUO: Cruise on the Li River amid amazing karst scenery to Yangshuo. Afternoon Chinese lesson to learn the basics of this fascinating language. (BL)

Day 4, YANGSHUO: A morning excursion into the countryside. Pass through beautiful rural scenes: farmers working away in their fields and lovely old stone buildings. (BD)

Day 5, YANGSHUO - XI’AN: Free morning before a flight to Xi’an, the ancient capital of China. (BD)

Day 6, XI’AN – A half day tour to a Daoist temple, a Buddhist temple and the magnificent wooden mosque. Free time in the afternoon to explore further on your own. (BL):

Day 7, XI’AN - CHONGQING: A morning visit to the Terracotta Warriors before we fly to Chongqing and board our cruise boat. (BD)

Days 8-9, YANGTSE CRUISE: Cruise the Yangtse in air-conditioned comfort. We pass through the spectacular three gorges section and take daily excursions from the boat. (BLD)

Day 10, YICHANG - SHANGHAI: Disembark and visit the impressive dam site. Transfer to Yichang for our flight to Shanghai where we stay at the famous Peace Hotel situated in the heart of the Bund and with an illustrious history. Evening visit to the famous Shanghai acrobats. (BL)

Day 11, SHANGHAI - BEIJING: A day tour around Shanghai before we take the overnight express train to Beijing. (BL)

Day 12, BEIJING: Arrive in Beijing where we stay at the Beijing Grand Hotel which has stunning views over the Forbidden City, abode of the Emperors. Visit the Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven. (L)

Day 13, BEIJING: A free morning to follow your own interests. In the afternoon we have a guided tour to the Summer Palace and a visit to the Beijing Opera. (BD)

Day 14, BEIJING: Day excursion to The Great Wall of China and the Ming Tombs, including the Sacred Way. (BL)

Day 15, BEIJING: Transfer to Beijing airport. (B)
