Day 1: Auckland
Arrive in Auckland and check into the Mercure Hotel. There is a Auckland Scene pack waiting for you at reception with a handy city guide that will help you familiarise yourself with Auckland. Contiki’s ‘scene’ packages are different from our other tours as they do not include a tour manager – rather we give you all the information and resources you need to squeeze the max out of a city and set your own pace to explore! Day 2: Auckland
Today use your ‘Explorer’ Pass to see all the fabulous sights around New Zealand’s largest city. You’ll be able to ‘hop on and hop off’ at all the important places. There’s the Auckland Museum, Kelly Tarlton’s Underwater World, enjoy the greatest views of Auckland from the Sky Tower – the tallest building in the southern hemisphere, stroll through the Viaduct Harbour previously the heart of the America’s Cup – famous today for great restaurants and lively bars, maybe sail of the ‘city of sails’ harbour – you’ll find plenty to do. Day 3: Auckland
