Arrive at any time. There are no planned activities until the welcome meeting in the evening. After, opt to head out to dinner in a local restaurant with the group.
Get the most out of your time in Istanbul by pre-booking one of the following full-day activities to experience before your tour starts: Istanbul Backstreets Walk or Dolmabahçe Palace Visit and Bosporus Cruise. If you do, we recommend booking accommodation for an extra night pre-tour.
And don’t worry if you can’t decide now. These activities are available for pre-booking any time before your tour starts, while any of the optional activities listed can be booked independently upon arrival in Istanbul.

After introductions, your CEO will review the details of your tour. Ever wonder what life was like for an Ottoman Sultan? Take this chance to explore Dolambahçe Palace - Istanbul's most lavish residence and home to the leaders of the Ottoman administration from 1856-1923. Dawning interiors decorated by the designer of the Paris Opera, this is a site to be seen. Afterwards, board a boat for a relaxing and scenic cruise long the legendary Bosporus Straight.

Follow a guide through colourful spice markets, bustling bazaars, and squares nestled in the backstreets of Istanbul. Exploring these lesser known parts of Istanbul will give you a glimpse into the daily life of a local.

Day 2: Istanbul/Göreme
View the sights on an orientation walk, then spend some free time exploring the city. Travel by overnight bus to Cappadocia.
In the evening, set off for the bus station to board the overnight bus, departing at 6pm.

Enjoy an orientation walk of Istanbul. Each walk varies, allowing your CEO to show off their favourite spots around the city. Pass by city highlights such as the Topkapi Palace, the Aya Sofya, and the Blue Mosque. Walks may also include a wander past the atmospheric Spice Bazaar, the newly renovated Galata Bridge, which has a great view of Golden Horn, and the Bosphorus shore, a stretch that's home to many bars.

- Basilica Cistern
20TRY per person. Built in 532 AD, the Basilica Cistern is the largest cistern (underground water storage) of Istanbul. Spot the pillar bases carved in the likeness of Medusa.

Day 3: Göreme
Enjoy free time to explore Cappadocia. Opt to hike in the area, explore its underground cities, and enjoy the incredible fairy chimneys dotting the landscape. Consider a hot air balloon trip at sunrise.
One of the best ways to explore Cappadocia is on foot. Opt to join a trekking tour through one of the beautiful valleys guided by the CEO. Ask the CEO about the many other walking and hiking options available in the area.
There will be the chance to visit a local pottery centre – take the opportunity to create your own masterpiece. Watch a carpet demonstration to learn more about the process involved in making these Turkish works of art or go to a Turkish performance with group members to experience a taste of local dances and music.

Free. Explore Cappadocia by foot and trek past old houses, churches, and orchards, all boasting fabulous views. Finish the trek in the town of Uçhisar, which is well worth exploring. Be sure to see the natural castle-like fortress that's riddled with man-made cave homes and dovecotes, and dominates the skyline of Cappadocia. This is a great place to take a lunch break in one of the many restaurants before catching a local bus back to Göreme.

- Göreme Open Air Museum Visit
30TRY per person. Explore the unique Open Air Museum, a site made up of a number medieval painted cave churches. Carved out by Orthodox monks, many of the churches are up to 1,000 years old and still retain amazing colour and vibrancy.

Day 6: Antalya/Olympos
Upon arrival to Antalya, continue to the village of Olympos on the Mediterranean coast. Relax and enjoy the beaches of Olympos. Set off on a walk to see the flames of Mount Olympos at night.
In the morning, set off for a journey along the coast. Passing through the stark Anatolian landscape, enter the richly forested mountain region which leads to the coast and the small village of Olympos. There is time to relax and hit the beach before taking a short drive in the evening to Olympos Mountain. Enjoy a brief walk to see the spectacle of the chimera, a phenomenon where flames mysteriously rise from cracks within the local rocks.

Continue to the beautiful coastal village of Kekova where we board our boat for an unforgettable night at sea.

Come aboard for an overnight trip off the gorgeous coast of Turkey (dinner is included and cold drinks can be purchased). Day 8: Kekova/Dalyan
Back on land at Ucagiz, travel up to the charming Dalyan—hit the mud baths, or swim and chill out at the beach.
Opt to embark on a boat excursion for a close-up view of the famous Carian rock tombs and some remains of the ancient city of Kaunos and Dalyan. Cruising to Iztuzu Beach, past rock faces peppered with ancient tombs, there is time to relax at the beach and enjoy a cold drink. There is also the chance to visit to some local mud baths.

200-250TRY per group. Come aboard this boat excursion for a close-up view of the famous Carian rock tombs and remains of the ancient city of Kaunos and Dalyan. - Mud Baths
6TRY per person. It is said that Cleopatra herself frequented the mud baths of Dalyan for its beautification effects. Jump in to feel the healing power of this mud for yourself.

Day 10: Dalyan/Pamukkale
Enjoy free time to visit the beautiful white cliffs of Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the ancient site of Hierapolis.
Time to leave sea level behind, passing through fruit orchards we make our way to Pamukkale. In the afternoon, opt to visit the famous white cliffs of Pamukkale.
We also have the opportunity to explore the ancient site of Hierapolis built on top of the white "castle". This UNESCO World Heritage Site is evidence that the hot springs of Pamukkale were used as a spa since the 2nd century BC.

35TRY per person. Tour the white cliffs of Pamukkale to learn about this World Heritage-listed site and natural wonder. Made up of 17 hot water springs, the cliffs are formed when the calcium carbonate hardens with time. Explore the ancient site of Hierapolis built on top of the white "castle." See the large, ancient baths within the city (thought to be evidence that the hot springs of Pamukkale were used as a spa since second century BC).

- Swim in an Ancient Pool
32TRY per person. Take a plunge into an ancient swimming pool, preserved from the second century BC. Wade around in the thermally heated fresh mineral water around fallen marble columns, capitals, and plinths said to have come from the nearby Temple of Apollo.

- Hierapolis Archeological Museum
5TRY per person. This museum displays works of art from excavations at Hierapolis, as well as towns in the surrounding area, such as jewelry, sarcophagi and Bronze Age crafts. Housed within a former Roman Bath and gymnasium, this museum has will grab the interest of art, history and architecture lovers alike.

Day 11: Pamukkale/Selçuk
Head back to the coastal town of Selçuk and check out the sights. Opt to visit the ruins of the ancient Roman town of Ephesus. One of the foremost cities of the world in its time, with a strategic location on the trade route, this well-preserved city is one of the best places in the world to get a real feeling of what life must have been like during Roman times.
Other options include a walk up to the remains of the St John Basilica, visit the mosque of Isa Bey or just wander the streets and cafes of this vibrant Turkish town. Catch a local “dolmus” bus 8kms to the picturesque village of Sirince where you can sample some of the local wine or shop for crafts. The beach at Pamucak is also within reach for the dedicated sunseekers.

40TRY per person. Tour the ruins of ancient Ephesus to get a feeling of what life must have been like during Roman times. Take in its massive, well-preserved theatre, which dominates the view down Harbour Street. See the two-story library, whose façade has been carefully reconstructed from all original pieces. Built in AD 125, it once held nearly 12,000 scrolls.

- Saint John's Basilica Visit
10TRY per person. View St John's Basilica, once a grand basilica in Ephesus. Constructed by Justinian I in the 6th century, it was built in where John the Apostle is said to be buried.

- Mosque of Isa Bey Visit
Free. Visit the centuries-old Isa Bey Mosque on the outskirts of Selçuk to see one of the oldest and most impressive works of art remaining in this region.

- Sirince Village Visit
Free. Head out to scenic ?irince, a Turkish-Greek village that was settled when Ephesus was abandoned; it’s now 600 strong. Wander the narrow village streets filled with people selling handicrafts, olive oil, and local wine.

- Ephesus Museum Visit
10TRY per person. This museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts discovered in the excavation of the ancient Greek city of Ephesus.

- Slope Houses of Ephesus

Day 13: Selçuk/Çanakkale
Travel north, then opt to visit Troy and Gallipoli. Travel to Çanakkale. Upon arrival, opt to visit the world famous Troy.
In the afternoon, opt to visit Gallipoli, where thousands gave their lives during WWI in the battle of the same name.
Enjoy the harbour town of Çanakkale, a busy port with a thriving student population. Join the crowds as they stroll the waterfront nightly, enjoying the atmosphere of the night.

25-65TRY per person. See historic Troy, made famous by Homer’s “Iliad,” (and more recently by Orlando Bloom and Brad Pitt). Tour the city that, for centuries, was regarded as just a myth, until its ruins were found in in the mid-19th century. Imagine what a great city this must have been, while taking a tour of the remains. Don't miss the chance to have a photo taken with the Trojan horse.

- Gallipoli Battlefields Guided Tour
40TRY per person. Visit this moving and beautiful site, a great complement to any trip to Turkey, even for those not familiar with the Battle of Gallipoli. Tour the grounds to see ANZAC Cove, the war cemeteries, and Lone Pine. Learn how the Turks fought off the numerically superior, but badly commanded, Allied forces who were forced to withdraw nine months later; this battle holds special significance for Australians and New Zealanders, as both nations lost many soldiers.

Day 14: Çanakkale/Istanbul
Back to the big city for one last night with the group. We'll continue our journey to Istanbul where there will be the opportunity to continue your sightseeing or get in some last minute shopping. Why not top off a wonderful adventure with an optional dinner at one of Istanbul's atmospheric restaurants.

- Archaeological Museum
20TRY per person. Opened in 1891, the Istanbul Archaeological Museum is a must-visit for history buffs. Home to a classical statuary, artifacts, and sarcophagi - including the stunning sarcophagus from the Royal Necropolis of Sidon - this museum presents one of the best opportunities to catch a glimpse into the life of ancient Turks.

- Topkapi Palace Visit
40TRY per person. Take a step back in time with a visit to the Topkapi Palace. Once home to the Ottoman sultans and their harems, it's now a museum hosting a number of collections, ranging from porcelains found in Europe, Asia, and China to Ottoman-era weaponry.

- Aya Sofya Visit
40TRY per person. Learn a little about the tumultuous history behind the Aya Sofya, and take some time to explore this famous, beautiful building, now a museum.

- Great Palace Mosaic Museum
15TRY per person. See the intricate mosaics on display from the Byzantine period, excavated from the site of The Great Palace of Constantinople.

- Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts
25TRY per person. This museum is home to treasures from the Ottoman and Seljuk periods, and boasts one of the world's largest collection of Turkish carpets.

- Basilica Cistern
20TRY per person. Built in 532 AD, the Basilica Cistern is the largest cistern (underground water storage) of Istanbul. Spot the pillar bases carved in the likeness of Medusa.

- Dolamabahçe Palace
30TRY per person. Built in the early 1800s, the Dolamabahçe Palace is the largest and the most important palace of the Ottoman Empire, after the Topkapi Palace. Marvel at its grandeur.

- Galata Tower
Climb up the Galata Tower - one of Istanbul's oldest architectural landmarks - for an amazing panoramic view of the city. To get the full experience, time your visit with the call to prayer that happens at sunset.

Day 15: Istanbul
Depart at any time. Your tour might be finished, but the adventure’s far from over. Pre-book one of the following activities to experience after your tour ends: Dolmabahçe Palace Visit and Bosporus Cruise or Istanbul Backstreets Walk. If you do, we recommend booking accommodation for an extra night in Istanbul.
And don’t worry if you can’t decide now. These activities are available for pre-booking any time before your tour starts, or they can be booked upon arrival in Istanbul.
Please note that check-out time from the hotel is normally mid-morning, but luggage storage facilities are available. We are able to organise extra post-trip accommodation if you wish to extend your stay for a few more days. Please ask at the time of booking.

Ever wonder what life was like for an Ottoman Sultan? Take this chance to explore Dolambahçe Palace - Istanbul's most lavish residence and home to the leaders of the Ottoman administration from 1856-1923. Dawning interiors decorated by the designer of the Paris Opera, this is a site to be seen. Afterwards, board a boat for a relaxing and scenic cruise long the legendary Bosporus Straight.

- Istanbul Backstreets Walk
Follow a guide through colourful spice markets, bustling bazaars, and squares nestled in the backstreets of Istanbul. Exploring these lesser known parts of Istanbul will give you a glimpse into the daily life of a local.

Deine Unterkünfte haben wir so ausgewählt, dass sie der lokalen Kultur am ehesten entsprechen. Je nach Reiseziel und Reisestil haben wir unterschiedliche Unterkünfte für dich ausgewählt: Mal schläfst du im Hotel in Downtown, mal bei einer Gastfamilie und dann zeltest du unter dem Sternenhimmel.
